The Peace Quaternity is two short stories and two poems about war and peace, hate and love, racism and humaneness, denial and self-awareness, "other" and Self, and the idea that there really is no other and no enemy. The short story Lily was inspired by the book Strongmen, by Ruth Ben-Ghiat. The short story Bapu was inspired by The Life of Mahatma Gandhi, by Louis Fischer. Both stories were also inspired by A Farewell to Arms, by Ernest Hemingway, among other fiction and non-fiction written works and films.
