Four wealthy teens — son of a Senator, Rashad Anderson; the sexually wild/eventual heiress to the Bellevdere Hotels, Kelly Bellevdere; orphan, rising rap star, and secretly gay Aspen Blu; and the "poorest of the bunch," Jason Liebowitz— live life to the fullest, drunk on power and sex. In the town of Glenville, troubles start when Rashad is indicted for drunk driving and manslaughter. His mother, Camilla Anderson, quickly pulls her son out of trouble. Along with her husband, Martell, Camilla is having a polygamous affair with Destiny Liebowitz, wife of Alan/step-mother of Jason. Assuming the worst, Alan hires a PI to do some digging on his wife. Kelly seduces her teacher and posts the video online, resulting in his termination. Her boyfriend Rashad learns it was her video, and that she cheated. Angry and hurt, Rashad dumps her. Aspen spends the night with his boyfriend, Jason. Their night of passion turns rough, and in a fit of rage, Jason beats Aspen until he's bruised. Aspen retreats, blaming himself for Jason's outburst. Jason later apologizes and admits his fear that he will turn into his father, who also physically and sexually abused Jason as a child. In disguise, Aspen leads the previous victims of sexual abuse through a ritual of revenge: to capture, kidnap, and publicly humiliate and rape Father Nicolas Armand. Expecting the death of Armand to bring him peace, Aspen is disappointed when satisfaction does not follow.
