The last thing Dr. Alessa Brown expects to see while driving home through a raging thunderstorm is a naked man staggering by the side of the road. Thinking there must have been a car accident, Alessa stops to help. The stranger doesn't appear to be injured, but when he claims he's from outer space, Alessa doubts his sanity. Until he displays powers Alessa can't explain. Kerrith is a Traveler – a visitor to worlds other than his own.
