, despite his impressive string of 21 Top 40 country hits on in the '70s and early '80s, has not been well represented in the digital age. is budget-length but mid-priced, providing less than half an hour of music. The disc collects only ten of his recordings, and some of his bigger hits are passed over in favor of lower-charting singles. One of these, failed to crack the Top 40 at all, but it was 's first charting single from 1973. It's a delightful track and a surprising inclusion on such a brief collection. provides liner notes (including short track-by-track comments), and it's a shame that his efforts weren't enlisted for a lengthier anthology. ~ Greg Adams
