In 1994, a journalist for the Nevada Appeal in Carson City, Nevada branded Monet the new "Louis L'Amour of the Old West" while another of The Herald in Yakima, Washington boldly added Monet's books ruggedly "trace the path of justice in the Wild West." A third book reviewer for Books of the Southwest in Tucson, Arizona had previously proclaimed Monet's stories held such flair that the author deserved to be called "the Mark Twain of New Mexico." Now this noted storyteller releases this western novel in a manner similar to the "original dime-novel's that made such men as Jesse W. James, William F. 'Buffalo Bill' Cody, James Butler 'Wild Bill' Hickok, and William 'Billy the Kid' Bonney traditional legends of the Old West."
