Further, reading is not only the easiest of all language skills, but also the most useful. Nevertheless, reading is a very complex mental process. This book is founded on psycho-sociolinguistic research of proficiency (or deficiency?) of socially handicapped, culturally backward, economically depressed, linguistically deficient, simple, and credulous tribal learners - exploited for centuries. It is believed that the literacy skill of reading as such can prove to be a panacea for all such weaker sections of society as the tribals, to raise their social status and help their brethren to stand on their own feet
