Sun Mingsan, a ramen-addicted college student, is haunted by ghosts. Everywhere, all the time-and one of them is his sister, Sun Lan. When he accidentally stumbles across a tome on necromancy in his college bookstore, he sets his heart on resurrecting her so she can live the life that was cut short. In his journey through the Chinese afterlife, he ends up stuck with an ancient, cynical demon for company, and the god of death is not as impartial as he thought. Amidst the looming threat of war between Spirit Realm and the Heavens, Sun Mingsan faces a choice: to stay and overthrow the god of death with his newfound allies, or go against the laws of life and death to bring his sister back.
